Dog Adoption Update

Dog Adoption Update

So far I would say that my research is going well. I am constantly on the lookout for news articles or stories related to dog adoption to post about or tweet, not only because of the benefits to my research but also because it makes me feel good to know what people are doing to help the dogs that cannot help themselves.

A challenge that I have found in researching the issue of dog adoption and treating animals with love and respect is deciding what stories to tell. Dogs come from all types of horrible situations, whether it is hoarding, testing, or physical abuse. When I first thought about this issue I wanted to make it this all encompassing website that would deal with just about every bad situation, but now I am thinking that it may be too much. There are millions of stories about dogs coming from unfortunate homes and people, and narrowing it down will help me to find even better resources for one situation. I think that I am going to talk specifically about hoarding, part of that reason being that my own dog came from a hoarding situation and also because I know how much that affects dogs and their future.
