Wikipedia edit: Student Debt

For my Wikipedia edit  I searched through the site to see if a page about my public issue exist and to my surprise, I found a student debt page. This web page highlights the History of student debt, statistics about student debt in the United States and Canada, also social and political issues.

Although I found that this page includes substantial information and facts, I thought it needed a closer look at an individual University such as the University of Pittsburgh. I decided to include a small paragraph about our school at the bottom of the section that talks about the debt in the United States. This section has a bunch a facts and statistics included. My edit I took a paragraph from my position paper and included it in this section.

In recent years, tuition has been rising due to the cuts of government funding in education. As an example, more specifically, the University of Pittsburgh has had an increase in tuition of 3.9 percent for the academic school year of 2014-15. In recent weeks, the U.S. Department of Education ranked Pitt as the most expensive public university for tuition and fees, just ahead of Penn State University, which this past year totaled $16,240 in the arts and science school.

This page has been updated three times in November and eight times in October so when I edited this page I was sure it would get deleted. To my surprise again it has stuck to the page and has not been edited since I posted to the page yesterday.
