Rhetorical Velocity on #StudentDebt

#Hash tags, @ signs, and clickable links – their everywhere on this social media website known as twitter. You can easily use twitter to find tweets on the latest news/trend, stalk you ex (or your celebrity crush), or create a page to share your thoughts on the student debt crisis and hope people will share them with others.

Either way you’ll find people using rhetorical velocity somewhere on their page if not everywhere. I choose to follow Natalia Abrams, Executive Director – Co-Founder of StudentDebtCrisis.org. There you’ll see tweets that have –

  • links to news articles and blog posts about the topic. Easy and clickable for anyone if they wanted to read up on or find out more information such as the Who Profits From Your Student Debt Article
  • many hash tags such as #StudentDebt #HigherEdNotDebt
  • and also tags of people within the tweet which is followed by an @ sign so it is easy and clickable to go to their page

Every tweet is a chance to explore more options within the topic of student debt with the advantage of someone being able to retweet it so they can read it, get more info, and share it as well. The more velocity the more your tweets have on reaching a broader audience. The more hash tags there are on your page the more excess people have to finding you in the search bar or by discover.
