Philadelphia Schools and Wikipedia
I edited the School District of Philadelphia Wikipedia page. I changed the number of charter schools in the district from 50 to 86 and also changed the number of public schools because recently 23 public schools have closed. I also deleted the schools that closed and added them to the list of “former schools” on the List of schools of the School District of Philadelphia page. Below is a screenshot of the before and after shots of the Wikipedia page.
Editing the Wikipedia page was actually pretty easy. As far as the code that Wikipedia uses, I pretty much just copied the formatting of the text already on the page. When first editing the page, I was unable to save my work because someone else was editing the page at the same time. I am not sure what part of the page they edited. Currently, my work has “stuck.” I was surprised that the page had not been updated earlier since most of the schools have been closed since last year.
