The Ideal Blog Post

For this assignment i read the blog posts, “Is ‘Eat Real Food’ Unthinkable”, and “Ebola Front -Line Doctors at Breaking Point”.  The first blog post was about the department of agriculture passing their report on how Americans should eat.  The blog’s main idea was that there are many influences from corporations and big food industries on the department’s report.  The second post was about the doctors and volunteers over in Africa trying to help those with ebola.  The main idea was that the volunteers and doctors that are trying to fight the disease of ebola are running out of steam and losing hope for helping all the desperate dying people.  What got me right away is that both blog posts started off very ominously and dark which really captured my attention and got me hooked on the blog.  Both blog posts had a very serious, but casual tone to them.  It was obvious from reading both posts that the authors were well educated males who were knowledgeable on the subject.  The posts mostly use the readers concern on the subject to keep them interested, along with some pictures and videos. The posts then conclude with simple solution that the author recommends, as a contrast to what the government says, and the ebola one ends with a dark tone without a solution to the Ebola problem.  Another crucial part of a popular blog post is using quotes and referencing other people. These blog posts do not  interact with other sources in any real noticeable way. Its very interesting because the one post was structured very long and the other one was pretty short.
