The Struggles of Having Little Creativity

When the Image Editing Assignment was first introduced, I was super pumped about making some of my own things on Photoshop. But that excitement quickly came to end because I could not, and still can not, think of any ideas for my project.

I like to think I have good taste when it comes to the way things look (other than the design of my html site, but that’s another issue), but I feel like I’ve been second-guessing myself with this project. For me, having more free-reign on what to do and what to create makes it more difficult for me to come up with ideas.

As of right now, I have two pictures created. One of them, I think I will definitely use. It’s a photo of my dog turned into an Andy Warhol Pop-Art image. I was thinking this photo could be used for the design requirement from our reading and as a funny image. A dog transformed into the style of Warhol is a little funny. My second image is one that I’m creating from scratch with the exception of one minor photo that’s used for it’s shape. I was thinking of creating it as if it could be a t-shirt design. The image is the shape of Cathy with three Quidditch hoops in the front of it. I think it’s too boring though. I also wasn’t sure about the font either because I think the typical Harry Potter font would be too cheesy. Here is the image so far:quidditch-logo

I think it definitely needs something else, but I don’t want to go too crazy. Any suggestions?

Also, am I the only one having trouble with coming up with a thought-provoking image? I don’t think I even know what it means for something to be thought-provoking. Should it be weird or out-of-the-ordinary? Hopefully, I’m not the only one with this problem. If you’re in the same boat as me, let’s hope we can get out of this creative block soon.
