Photoshop Contour

Hi guys! I thought this was a really cool and relevant photoshop tutorial! Since contouring is the latest trend in makeup this tutorial can show you how to get the same effects on a photo using PS! I’m especially interested in photo retouching in photoshop and this guy does a really good job explaining different techniques! I thought this would be good to post just incase anyone wanted to do some retouching for their Photoshop project. There are a lot of cool resources on the internet to help with your projects. For my photoshop assignment I watched multiple youtube tutorials to help me along as I went. In this tutorial, the pictures used from the internet are just being used as references. He grabs some of the colors from the photos but thats it. I like this technique of using pictures as references or guides for your project because you don’t have to worry about copyright.

The next tutorial I have attached is another retouching technique. This technique creates flawless skin retouching on a portrait! This guy also takes you step by step and it is really easy to follow along (although he is a little hard to understand). I like this technique because as a beginner to Photoshop I thought that if I wanted to perfect the skin on a portrait I would use the blur tool or possibly the clone! I had no idea about the frequency separation technique shown here. This makes the retouching seem so much more professional and lifelike. If you take a closer look towards the end of the tutorial at the finished product you can still see the woman’s facial pores. This is something that you would lose if you just used the blur technique. If you combine the skills learned from this tutorial with the skills from the contouring video you can have a professional looking retouched face as and end result!
