Being that I am completely new at HTML, I think I did pretty well in creating a website.\u00a0 Creating a brand new website pushed me out of my comfort zone but in a good way.\u00a0 I learned something new that brings a lot more awareness and appreciation for the web designers.\u00a0 I struggled with HTML\/CSS particularly on two fronts\u2014the images page and the navigation bar.<\/p>\n

When I first tried to make the navigation bar, it did not work.\u00a0 Turns out, I had an unordered list on the same page and so I had to add an ID tag to the navigation in order to make it work.\u00a0 I also got confused by the tutorial provided and so I in turn looked to another source for help.\u00a0 I thought I did pretty good since it looked like a navigation bar but I was wrong.\u00a0 In the end, a friend helped me to make my navigation bar better but it was definitely a struggle.<\/p>\n

The other thing that was confusing and hard to work out was the images page.\u00a0 I wanted to put my images side by side so that it would not be one long web page.\u00a0 To do that, I had to look up another tutorial for the code in order to achieve this.\u00a0 Since there was a tutorial and code for this, it wasn\u2019t hard to do.\u00a0 However, after submitting it, my friend clicked on my website on her computer and it looked all weird.\u00a0 I freaked out but could not figure out what went wrong.\u00a0 It wasn\u2019t until the next day that I discovered that my photos page will look like normal again depending on the size of the browser.\u00a0 See, if you adjust the browser size, it\u2019ll look like what it\u2019s supposed to\u2014three images side by side, in three rows.<\/p>\n

So that was an experience that I had with my very first website.\u00a0 It was fun but it also pushed the boundaries of my knowledge.\u00a0 I\u2019m happy with the end result but it was a hard four days trying to figure out all the HTML\/CSS stuff.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
