Here is a list of things that I will be using in this tutorial:<\/p>\n

  1. Use the magic eraser tool under eraser to get rid of the background. Zoom in and use normal eraser to erase and perfect the remain of background near the hair.\"\"<\/li>\n
  2. Resize the canvas to make it larger.\"\"<\/li>\n
  3. Create a layer under the Kerr portrait layer, and fill it with white.\"\"<\/li>\n
  4. Double click the white layer, and select gradient overlay. Click on gradient, and select the second preset which i circled. Click on the scale and select a gray color. \"\"<\/li>\n
  5. Change the style to radial, and click OK.<\/li>\n
  6. Bring in the branches image. Resize and rotate the branches image so that it covers the Kerr portrait photo.\"\"<\/li>\n
  7. Select-color range-select color white-fuzziness set to 200-click OK-press delete.\"\"<\/li>\n
  8. Double click the branches layer-inner glow-change the parts where I circled. This step is to get rid of the remaining white areas in-between the branches.\"\"<\/li>\n
  9. Double click the Kerr portrait layer-mask.\"\"<\/li>\n
  10. Double click on the highlighted part-shift+ctrl+i (Mac: shift+command+i) to inverse select the branches.\"\"<\/li>\n
  11. Make the branches layer invisible-click on Kerr portrait layer mask-select brush tool-start painting.\"\"<\/li>\n
  12. Bring in the ocean view photo-adjust the size and rotate it however you like-create a clipping mask of the Kerr portrait layer-change to screen and adjust the opacity.\"\"<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
