Eric’s Introduction

I am a senior majoring in nonfiction writing with a minor in political science. I actually did not have a lot of experience with digital media until this summer when I interned with Penn Medicine. Before which, my social media activity mirrored my actual demeanor as I am quite introverted. During my internship, I used dreamweaver, drupal, photoshop, and other programs to make websites and visuals. I am by no means proficient, yet I do think I have a basic/functional knowledge. Once I graduate, I plan on going into public relations (possibly politics).

In my free time I enjoy listening to alternative music. Among my favorite bands are Grizfolk, Twenty One Pilots, Walk the Moon, Smallpools, and Finish Ticket, which tend to change because I listen to a handful of songs until I get sick of them. When I get really bored, I like to search for new songs/artists and make playlists. I watch a lot of TV as well. My favorite comedy right now is Silicon Valley and my favorite drama is either Sherlock or Peaky Blinders. I also play soccer and sail (seriously considering working on a boat/chartering once I leave Pitt).

However, I really just like spending time with friends in general, particularly just sitting around talking. Although I do not tend to talk myself I like to hear other people’s stories. Especially when I was younger, I loved it when my dad would tell me all of the crazy things that happened to him. And when I talk to my friends, it is almost entirely through references (to movies, songs, TV shows, inside jokes).
