I am a passionate writer and artist who loves fantasy stories, vegetarian meatloaf, and anything cuddly. My crazy curly hair (which frizzes in any weather) comes from my German, Eastern European, and African-American roots. Depending on my mood, I can be found parading about in anything from flowing bohemian skirts to dark red lipstick and vampire-slaying combat boots. Originally from the tiny town of Emmaus PA, I moved to the city of Pittsburgh to pursue an English Fiction Writing degree at the University of Pittsburgh. I minor in Studio Arts and have nearly completed my Children’s Literature and Public and Professional Writing Certificates. I am particularly interested in Young Adult and Children’s Literature, and aspire to one day write my own series of young adult novels (if I ever finish the first one) as well as to pen a book of short stories, a book of poems, and to paint until I can’t hold a brush anymore. I am shamelessly obsessed with the Harry Potter book series and would likely faint if I ever met J.K Rowling. I hope to one day work in publishing, and (wherever I end up) want to surround myself with people who make me laugh.
My interest in this class lies in expanding my knowledge of computer programs and forums of virtual expression while simultaneously adding to my marketable skills in the hopes of one day landing an interesting job.
